Between 14 and 30 November 2023, colleagues from University of Potsdam (Justin Aaron Koenig), PDW Analytics (Tobias Simon) and ZHAW (Andrey Dashkevich, Achim Ecker) performed the first measurement campaign at the pilot facilities of Arkema, one of NanoPAT industrial partners, in Lacq, France, as part of our case study on zeolites (Case Study 4).
The primary objective of the first campaign was to validate the Photon Density Wave Spectroscopy (PDW) technology and the new process probe developed by ZHAW in a pilot environment. To do that, syntheses of different zeolites were performed in a pilot batch reactor (220l).
During the campaign the synthesis process was monitored with PDW and compared with the conventional analytical techniques such as X-ray diffraction, particle size distribution and scanning electron microscopy.
The analysis of the gathered data is ongoing with the expertise of University of Potsdam and PDWA and the support of ZHAW.
