Project partner FLUIDINOVA is a leader company in the production of nano-hydroxyapatite for biomedical and oral care applications. The NETmix reactor is FLUIDINOVA’s patented technology and it consists in a network of mixing chambers interconnected by channels without any moving parts that allow an excellent control over mixing and reaction, leading to the production of a highly pure phase nano-hydroxyapatite. FLUIDINOVA produces several nano-hydroxyapatite solutions, namely water-based pastes, powders and granules that are specially designed to be used in medical devices, oral care and food products. Within the NanoPAT project, the nano-hydroxyapatite particle size characterization will be carried out using the online OptoFluidic Force Induction (OF2i) technology. More details in Case Study 3.
