The core competence of the Centre for Industrial Chemistry and Processes is the optimization of manufacturing processes, particularly by means of inline process analytical technologies (PAT). This knowledge is being used in different-sized projects with industrial partners. The application of the Green Chemistry principles and the use of natural resources are central.
ZHAW will lead the RTO pilot scale tests for the zeolites case study, testing Photon Density Wave Spectroscopy (PDWS) in collaboration with PDW Analytics prior to its implementation in the industrial pilot at Arkema.
The team at ZHAW is starting with batch zeolite synthesis and inline monitoring by means of PDWS to gather process understanding. The goal is to provide reference data for the instrumentation and control of the industrial continuous zeolite synthesis.
