As part of a new case study (outside the project plans) testing the OF2i technology developed in NanoPAT with polymers, our colleague Usue Aspiazu from UPV/POLYMAT (Spain) is visiting our colleagues from BRAVE Analytics for a few months (7 October 2023 – 18 March 2024). During this time, Usue and BRAVEâs team will continue to test novel particle size characterisation techniques to monitor the particle size, concentration and particle size distribution of polymer nanoparticles during their synthesis by emulsion polymerisation. During the internship, Usue will test BRAVE’s OF2i technology for online and real-time monitoring of industrially valuable emulsion polymerisation processes used to produce acrylic latexes used in the manufacture of paints and coatings, among other applications.
