Conference & Exhibition

Following the success of the previous five editions, the promoting organizations Italian Association for Industrial Research (AIRI) and NanoItaly Association are delighted to announce the next edition of NanoInnovation, scheduled on 21-24 September 2021 in Rome (Italy).

This 6th edition of Nanoinnovation will be focused on innovation and technology transfer, not limited to the various nanotech application contexts, in line with the objectives of Horizon Europe, the new EU research and innovation programme 2021-2027.

NanoInnovation represents the national meeting place for the wide and multidisciplinary community involved in the development of nanotechnologies and their integration with other key enabling technologies (KETs), in all application fields.

During the four-day event, plenary sessions, parallel thematic symposia, round tables and different meeting opportunities will update participants on the latest technologies developments and the latest results achieved in research activities. In fact, to meet its goals, NanoInnovation 2021 will host, among others, high-quality scientific sessions where world-renowned speakers will present the most recent results, newest updates and technical developments in the fields of nanotechnology and nano research.

In addition to the part mainly dedicated to scientific activity, the conference will host satellite and networking events in order to provide opportunities of exchange and discussion among players active in different aspects of nanotechnology and, more generally, industrial technology. The industrial world will contribute actively to this frame and will be also the main protagonist in the exhibition area, where latest product will be presented and illustrated favouring exchange and discussion opportunities.

Thanks to its multi-level structure, NanoInnovation 2021 provides an ideal environment to develop new collaborations and meet experts from different fields of study and research.

The target audience of the event is so inevitably heterogeneous: it wants include students, professors, researchers, companies, associations and representatives of the institutional world.

Workshop
Safe by Design of nanomaterials in industrial production processes

The symposia will highlight practical approaches for risk prevention and safety management in laboratories and production sites using nanomaterials, on the basis of a Safe by Design (SbD) approach, integrating safety since the early stages of product and process development.

SbD is a cornerstone of current and future R&I policies in Europe for the development, production and use of chemicals, materials and products. As set in the recent EU Chemical Strategy for Sustainability, specific SbD and sustainability criteria will be developed and used to facilitate access of safe innovations to funding opportunities and to the market.

Blanca Suarez, from TEMASOL, will contribute to this workshop!
