The 18th edition of the UPV/POLYMAT course on Emulsion Polymerization Processes (EPP) of UPV/POLIMAT has begun this week. During the 6 next weeks (13th Sept. – 18th Oct.) 71 participants from industry and academia are joining this online edition in order to increase their knowledge in the world of polymers, with experts from UPV/POLYMAT (Spain) and Centre national de la recherche Scientifique (CNRS) (France).
One of the most common methods to obtain waterborne polymeric dispersions (NanoPAT Case Study 1) is by emulsion polymerization. In this course on Emulsion Polymerization Processes, this technique is deeply analysed from the most fundamental aspects such as polymerization kinetics, particle nucleation and stability, to the more applied aspects such as their rheology or film formation.
