NanoPAT had the opportunity on 12 July 2023, to present the progress made to our funding agency, the EC, and our external evaluator John Parthenios. During the presentations, we discussed the developments achieved during the last 18 months (second reporting period) and outlined our upcoming plans.

Between 12 and 30 June 2023, colleagues from Uni Potsdam and PDWA (namely Hilmer Tasto, Tobias Simon and Sebastian Zimmermann) performed a PDW measuring campaign at the laboratories of our industrial partner Evonik in Germany.
On 3rd June 2023, BNN visited the labs of BRAVE Analytics in Graz. BRAVE gave a demonstration of their OF2i technology to BNN colleagues to facilitate the (nano)safety assessment of their processes.
From 8 to 12 May 2023, some colleagues of BRAVE visited Cnano facilities in Athens (Greece) to test BRAVEâs OF2i sensor prototype âBRAVE B-Continuousâ.
Between 24 and 29 April 2023, the IRIS team (James Bolton) visited Cnano facilities in Athens (Greece) for the online monitoring of nanoparticles in Cnano’s plating baths.
March is being a busy month. Between 20 and 23 March 2023, James Bolton (IRIS) visited the University of Potsdam to conduct TUS measurements in silica syntheses on a 6 L scale.
Between 27 February and 10 March 2023 different colleagues from Uni Potsdam, PDWA and UPV/POLYMAT performed a PDW measuring campaign at the laboratories of our industrial partner Covestro in The Netherlands.
Between the 20th and 22nd of February 2023, a group of colleagues from the IRIS team (Susana GÃģmez Sanza, Juan Vicente, Eric Garcia and Jose Javier Ruiz) visited UPV/POLYMAT with the purpose of continuing their work on the Dilution System for the TUS sensor.
In November 2022 (21st â 25th), James Bolton, TUS expert at IRIS, visited BRAVE facilities in Graz (Austria) to perform experiments with IRISâ TUS sensor in Cnanoâs nanoparticle suspensions, aligned with Case Study 5.
It is not unreasonable to say that the specificity of Polymer Reaction Engineering (PRE) has always been the very strong relationship between the product one obtains, and the process and reactor used to make it. As the adage goes âpolymers are product by processâ.
