Course on Emulsion Polymerization Processes

Despina Emmanouilidou from Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) was visiting, June 28th-July 2nd, the University of Potsdam (UP) for training and networking purposes within the NanoPAT project. After the first year of the NanoPAT project, the aim of the visit was an intensive training by PDWS experts at innoFSPECPotsdam, with a focus on zeolite synthesis and first experiments with offline and inline photon density wave spectroscopy (PDWS). Additionally, measurement of zeolite properties with reference methods exclusively available in Potsdam were planned.

The final thematic Conference on Advanced Materials took place on 14 June 2021 as an hybrid event (online and in Berlin) with the main idea to disseminate and discuss the results of the project on advanced materials commissioned by the German Environmental Agency (UBA), and which was financed by the German Ministry of the Environment, Nature Protection and Nuclear Safety (BMU).

NanoPAT @ EuroNanoForum 2021 (May 2021)

Under the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2021, this 2021 edition of the EuroNanoForum addressed, during the two days of the conference (5-6 May 2021), Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials as the key elements to guarantee the functioning, long term durability, safety, and environmental compatibility of many devices, machinery, and services, highlighting the fundamental role of advanced materials for the transition to greener technologies, and a more sustainable future, making a significant contribution to the ambitious goals set by the European Green Deal. Furthermore, the role of nano-enabled industries in the drive towards a green and resilient Europe was also enhanced.
