Visit of Evonik to UP

Despina Emmanouilidou from Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) was visiting, June 28th-July 2nd, the University of Potsdam (UP) for training and networking purposes within the NanoPAT project. After the first year of the NanoPAT project, the aim of the visit was an intensive training by PDWS experts at innoFSPECPotsdam, with a focus on zeolite synthesis and first experiments with offline and inline photon density wave spectroscopy (PDWS). Additionally, measurement of zeolite properties with reference methods exclusively available in Potsdam were planned.

Nicola Palombo, a colleague from IRIS Technology Solutions (Spain), has recently visited POLYMAT (University of Basque Country, Spain) (14-18th June 2021). He brought the Turbidity Spectrometry (TUS) equipment developed at IRIS to the POLYMAT laboratories in San Sebastian, Basque Country.

NanoPAT networking – Visit of POLYMAT at UP

Usue Aspiazu, student from the University of the Basque Country (Spain) is visiting the University of Potsdam (Germany). Usue, as a member of POLYMAT, one of our partner institutions in the NanoPAT project, will stay for one month (June 2021) at the innoFSPEC laboratory in Golm to receive training in PDW spectroscopy. This acquired knowledge about the PDW measurement technique will be used to monitor the NanoPAT polymer synthesis processes.

NanoPAT Cen workshop

Cooperation between NanoPAT and OYSTER

Starting with the virtual Kick-Off Meeting (on November 5th) of the CEN workshop proposed within the context of the EU H2020 project OYSTER, NanoPAT gave its first step in the cooperation with OYSTER in the achievement of standard terminology for the description of metadata of materials characterisation and databases, following OYSTER’s guidance and knowhow.
