IkerGazte is a congress, organized by the Basque Summer University every second year since 2015, for young researchers of the Euskera Community. The main aim of the congress is to consolidate the Basque intellectual community and to promote science in Basque in different fields.
The 2023 edition of the IkerGazte took place on 17-19 May 2023 in San Sebastian, Spain. More than 200 people form academia, industry and research centres attended the event.
Usue Aspiazu (from UPV/POLYMAT), as a Basque researcher seeking to unite the Basque science participated in the congress. She presented a Poster & Short oral presentation with the âNanopartikulen sintesian zeharreko tamainaren neurketa denbora errealeanâ (English: Real-time size measurement during nanoparticle synthesis). In the oral presentation, she introduced the concept of latex, the importance of the particle size of the latexes on the final application and gave a general idea of how particle size can be measured, and how the NanoPAT technology Photon Density Wave (PDW) spectroscopy works. In the poster, she gave a deeper description of how PDW spectroscopy works and the results obtained under the NanoPAT project.
