Between 22 April and 3 May 2024, colleagues from University of Potsdam (Justin Aaron Koenig), PDW Analytics (Roland Hass) and ZHAW (Andrey Dashkevich) performed the second measurement campaign at the pilot facilities of the industrial partner, Arkema, in Lacq, France, as part of our case study on zeolites (Case Study 4).
The goal of this second measurement campaign was to generate more data and insights of PDW Spectroscopy for zeolite synthesis. From the first measurement campaign (more details here), the PDW technology allowed to reduce the synthesis time and the new time condition was validated by running new syntheses.
During the campaign the synthesis process was monitored with PDW and compared with conventional analytical techniques, such as X-ray diffraction, particle size distribution and scanning electron microscopy.
The pre-analysis of the gathered data is encouraging and the mean particle size obtained by PDW is close to the reference value measured by the conventional particle size technique. The gathered data will be completed with the expertise of University of Potsdam and PDWA.
